Nina Hoss is a German stage and film actress born on July 7, 1975, in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany. She began acting in radio plays at the age of seven and made her stage debut at 14. Hoss graduated from the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin in 1997. Her first major success was in the 1996 period drama 'A Girl Called Rosemary'. She was one of the Shooting Stars at the Berlinale in 2000. Hoss has collaborated with director Christian Petzold, resulting in successful projects.
