Garwin Sanford is a Canadian actor born on March 14, 1955, in Truro, Nova Scotia. He is best known for portraying the characters Narim in Stargate SG-1 and Simon Wallis in Stargate Atlantis. In the 1994-1995 historical adventure series Hawkeye, he played Captain Taylor Shields, and in 1998 he appeared as Lord Weston in Merlin's Apprentice. In addition to these roles, Sanford has made guest appearances on numerous television series, including Airwolf, MacGyver, Sliders, The Odyssey, The Outer Limits, Earth: Final Conflict, Dark Angel, The 4400, Eureka, and Supernatural. He also appeared in Another Cinderella Story. Outside of his acting career, Sanford is an artist who specializes in pen and ink portraiture, as well as a sculptor.
