Hiroshi Fujimoto, known by the stage name Fujiko F. Fujio, was a male writer born on December 1, 1933, in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. He had a total of 111 known credits in writing. Earlier in his career, Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko wrote together using the shared pen name Fujiko Fujio, creating many successful comics including the notorious Doraemon.

After the creative partnership broke up in 1987, Motoo Abiko continued working under the name Fujiko A. Fujio. Fujimoto initially continued under the name Fujiko Fujio before adopting the pen name Fujiko F. Fujio, which was also stylized as Fujiko・F・Fujio, beginning in 1989 and using it until his death.

Fujimoto passed away on September 23, 1996, at the age of 62 due to liver failure. His work is remembered through various creative endeavors, including the Fujiko F. Fujio Works series.
