Overview

Ninja Hattori-kun is a Japanese anime series that originally aired in 1981. Adapted from the manga series created by Motoo Abiko, who is also known by the pen name Fujiko Fujio A, the show follows the life of a young boy named Kenichi Mitsuba. Kenichi is an eleven-year-old student who often struggles with his studies and tends to be stubborn and lazy, which frequently frustrates his parents and teacher. His life changes when he befriends Hattori Kanzo, a ninja from the Iga Clan. Hattori moves in with the Mitsuba family, bringing along his brother, Shinzo, and their ninja dog, Shishimaru. As a loyal friend, Hattori monitors Kenichi and helps him navigate various personal problems. The group faces recurring conflict from the main antagonist, a Koga ninja named Kemumaki, who constantly troubles Kenichi alongside his own ninja cat, Kagechiyo. The series depicts the daily interactions and challenges faced by Kenichi and his ninja companions as they navigate life together.
