Ninja Boy Rantaro is a Japanese anime series that premiered on April 10, 1993, and it has been broadcast on NHK. The series is an adaptation of the manga series Rakudai Ninja Rantarō, written and illustrated by Sōbe Amako. It is produced by Ajia-do Animation Works and centers on the title character. The series follows the everyday adventures of its heroes, who are ninja apprentices in the Ninja Gakuen. The first grade ninja apprentices are called Nintamas and they must learn everything a ninja must know. The series show the everyday adventures of the heroes, including Rantarō, Shinbei and Kirimaru, who find money, food or playing more interesting than their ninja training. The first season of Ninja Boy Rantaro consists of 91 episodes. The series is also known as Nintama Rantarō, which translates to Rantarō the Ninja Boy.
