Freddie Jones was a male actor born on September 12, 1927, in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, UK. He was trained at the Rose Bruford College. Jones is known for his role as Claudius in the 1968 British television series The Caesars. He often played eccentric characters. He also appeared in the 1980 film The Elephant Man, and narrated the video Sexual Encounters of the Floral Kind: Pollination. Additionally, Jones played the character Sandy Thomas in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. He had a career spanning 167 known credits. Jones passed away on July 9, 2019, at the age of 91.
