Frances Tomelty is a Northern Irish actress born on 6 October 1948 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is the daughter of Joseph Tomelty, a Belfast actor. Tomelty has appeared in various television series, including Bergerac, Inspector Morse, Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married, Strangers, Midsomer Murders, and Coronation Street, as well as films such as Bellman and True, Monk Dawson, Bullshot, and The Field. She was married to Sting, whom she met on the set of a rock-musical called Rock Nativity, in 1976.
