Dichen Lachman is an Australian and Tibetan actress and model born on February 22, 1982, in Kathmandu, Nepal. She lived in Kathmandu until the age of seven before moving to Adelaide, Australia, with her parents. Her mother is of Tibetan descent and her father is Australian. Lachman is married to American actor Maximilian Osinski, with whom she wed on January 24, 2015. Recognized for her work in both film and television, she maintains a professional profile as a performer and producer. Her background reflects a blend of her Nepalese birthplace and her Australian upbringing, which has informed her career in the international entertainment industry.

Lachman gained early professional recognition for her portrayal of Katya Kinski in the soap opera Neighbours, appearing in the series from 2005 to 2007.
