He became interested in action films after seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark at age ten, and by age fifteen, he decided he wanted to pursue a career in action. He earned his Screen Actors Guild membership as a stuntman in 1994 following persistent effort, and his stunt work included doubling Leonardo DiCaprio in the 1995 film The Basketball Diaries. Over his career, he has worked on more than one hundred films, television shows, and commercials, with credits including Angels in America, Analyze That, The Sopranos, Mr. Robot, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
