Biography
Darren Majian Shahlavi was an English actor, martial artist, and stuntman born on 5 August 1972 in Stockport, Cheshire, England. His surname is of Persian origin. He began training in martial arts at age seven, inspired by Bruce Lee films. Shahlavi became known for playing antagonists in martial arts movies such as Bloodmoon and Tai Chi Boxer. He starred in The Techno Warriors series and appeared in films including Hostile Environment, Sometimes a Hero, Legion of the Dead, and Beyond the Limits. Notable credits include Ip Man 2, 300, and Watchmen. Shahlavi died in his sleep on 14 January 2015 at age 42 from a heart attack.
