Overview
Continuum is a Canadian science fiction television series created by Simon Barry that premiered on the Showcase network on May 27, 2012. The program was produced by Reunion Pictures, Boy Meets Girl Film Company, and Shaw Media, running for a total of four seasons. The story centers on a conflict between a group of rebels from the year 2077 and a police officer who travels back in time with them to the year 2012 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Upon arriving in the past, the rebels continue a violent campaign intended to prevent future corporations from replacing governments. Meanwhile, the detective finds herself trapped in the present day and endeavors to stop the rebels. She must balance this mission while keeping her true origins from the future a secret from everyone she encounters. The series features a cast that includes Rachel Nichols, Victor Webster, Erik Knudsen, and Stephen Lobo. The show concluded its broadcast run in 2015.
