Biography
Carolyn Jones was an American film and television actress who began her professional career in the early 1950s. Her work earned significant critical recognition, including a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1957 film The Bachelor Party. In 1959, she received a Golden Globe Award as one of the most promising actresses of that year. Jones is perhaps best known for her television work, having originated the role of Morticia Addams in the series The Addams Family starting in 1964. She was born on April 28, 1930, and passed away on August 3, 1983.
