Armelia Carol Ohmart, known professionally as Carol Ohmart, was an American actress and former model born on June 3, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to parents Carl Thomas Ohmart and Armelia Merle Ohmart. She spent the majority of her early life in Seattle and Spokane, Washington. After graduating from high school, she returned to Utah, where she won the title of Miss Utah and placed fourth in the Miss America pageant, which led to modeling work. Her career spanned from the early 1950s until the 1970s, during which she appeared in numerous films and television series, including horror films and film noirs such as lead roles in The Wild Party in 1956 and William Castle's House on Haunted Hill in 1959. She also appeared on early television doing commercials, including NBC's Bonny Maid Versatile Varieties from 1949 to 1951. Carol Ohmart died on January 1, 2002, at the age of 74.
