Raised between Iran, Europe, Canada, and the United States, he entered the arts in his early twenties and studied with Judith Weston before beginning work on stage and in independent film. Naderi gained notice and high praise for his lead role in the Sundance Festival hit The Taqwacores. His other film credits include a supporting role in Nina Menkes's Sundance film Phantom Love and a part in Ben Affleck's film Argo. On television, Naderi portrayed Sergeant Castro in season one of the AMC series Fear The Walking Dead.
