Bernard Hill was an English actor born on December 17, 1944, in Blackley, Manchester, England, UK. He appeared in nearly 130 projects throughout his career. Hill is known for his roles in British television, particularly in the 1982 TV series Boys from the Blackstuff, where he played Yosser Hughes. He also appeared in several notable films, including Titanic, The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and True Crime. Hill is notable for being the only actor to have appeared in more than one film awarded 11 Oscars, and one of only three actors to have starred in more than one film grossing over $1 billion USD.
