Armin Shimerman is an American actor and voice actor born on November 5, 1949, in Lakewood, New Jersey, United States. He studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, and began pursuing theatrical acting, eventually becoming a member of the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. Shimerman is widely known for portraying the Ferengi bartender Quark in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Principal Snyder in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Kramer's caddy Stan on Seinfeld. His voice acting credits include Dr. Nefarious in the Ratchet and Clank series and the antagonist Andrew Ryan in BioShock. Additionally, he appeared as Dr. Potter in the 2011 film adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.
