Ramos began performing in stage musicals and originated the dual role of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in Hamilton. He received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in the 2020 stage recording of Hamilton. Ramos also appeared in A Star Is Born and starred in the musical film In the Heights, earning a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
