Hamas has achieved its initial goal of taking Israel by surprise, damaging the reputation of Israel’s intelligence and military, destabilizing Israeli politics, insecure Israeli society, and causing great damage to Israel.
But now Hamas has to deal with Israel’s determination to destroy Hamas, so it must continue the war to the end and as long as possible. Hamas has made the Israeli-Palestinian conflict again topical in world and regional politics. Israel has determined to eliminate Hamas and completely destroy the security threat emanating from the Gaza Strip, so the war must continue.
On the other hand, Israel poses preconditions for a peaceful political solution that Hamas will never be able or willing to meet. Therefore, if this continues, the war will only continue and there will not be any chance for a peaceful political solution. Israel cannot destroy Hamas while Hamas cannot defeat Israel.
After 100 days of war between Hamas and Israel, the fighting is not only limited to between Hamas and Israel but has also spread between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon and with the Houthi rebels in Yemen as well as between the rebels. this army with the US, UK and a number of other allies in Yemen and in the Red Sea region. Hamas is condemned by many countries around the world for waging war, but Israel is also heavily criticized by many countries around the world for waging a destructive war in the Gaza Strip. committed genocide and sued Israel at the UN’s International Court of Justice. Relations between Israel and Arab countries were severely damaged. All countries in the world realize that it is more urgent and necessary to have a peaceful political solution to the conflict between Israel and Palestine in general, not just this war between Hamas and Israel in particular. The core of which is to quickly end hostilities and establish an independent Palestinian state.
And after 100 days of war between Hamas and Israel, the world has not seen anyone anywhere come up with any ideas or calculations for the Middle East in the post-war period. Any peaceful political solution to the war between Hamas and Israel must include a plan and roadmap for the post-war period.
