Next December 29, the movie Above the drinking table, below the planning table will debut to the public with the participation of actors Thuy Ngan, Dieu Nhi, Kha Nhu. In her first encounter with cinema, Thuy Ngan took on the role of Trieu – a woman who loves drinking and has a personality like a man. The character Trieu has many similarities to me
What was the reason why Thuy Ngan chose the role of Trieu in the movie? Above the drinking table, below the planning table for your first encounter with cinema?
– For me, cinema is a vast and challenging field. There, I always hope I can get difficult and challenging roles. After accumulating a lot of experience from long-running films, I think this is the golden time for me to take on a project on the big screen.
When reading the movie script Above the drinking table, below the planning table, I found the character Trieu very attractive and interesting. When I transformed into her, I still kept that feeling. The second thing that made me accept the offer is that the film promotes the beautiful and sacred values of friendship, and I am someone who cherishes such beautiful friendships.
To play the role of a “strong woman”, does Thuy Ngan have any physical preparations?
– Previously, I had acted in movies with action elements and had a long training process, so when I came to this movie, I had a certain sensitivity. However, because I am busy with many projects, I also focus on taking care of my health to devote 100% of my energy to the role. I believe concentration will help me deliver impressive scenes.
In real life, is Thuy Ngan a strong woman like in the movie?
– In real life, Trieu and I are quite similar, we are both independent and strong girls. Like Trieu, I am also someone who appreciates the value of family and friendship.
In addition, Trieu is a girl who is cold on the outside and hot on the inside. She looks strong but is soft on the inside. When she has difficulties, she covers herself and does not bother others. This point is probably very similar to my personality.
When she first encountered cinema, was Thuy Ngan worried about the audience’s reaction?
– I’m just worried about whether I’ve portrayed the character excellently or not. As for the audience, each viewer will have their own feelings, I just try to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible when watching the movie. Of course, I look forward to when everyone finishes watching Above the drinking table, below the planning table, The character of Trieu will remain in everyone’s minds.

Thuy Ngan, Dieu Nhi, Minh Tuan, Kha Nhu are friends in real life. The fact that Thuy Ngan participates in a common project with them is definitely an advantage?
– We have acquaintances abroad but have not had the opportunity to cooperate. Everyone has busy schedules, so the most connection between us is through social networks. Luckily, all four artists have good energy and a progressive spirit, so the atmosphere on set is very professional and comfortable. Before that, when I accepted to participate in the project and learned of their presence, I felt much more secure.
In real life, does Thuy Ngan often participate in drunken parties like in the movies?
– Actually, my tolerance for alcohol is very weak, it’s easy to get me drunk (laugh). Normally, I drink 1 or 2 glasses and I’m drunk. In the movie, there was a scene where I secretly drank to reveal my character’s personality, of course I only drank a little.
With a humorous and fun style, Thuy Ngan is afraid of people when watching movies Above the drinking table, below the planning table Would you rate this as a “bullshit” movie?
– I think that funny elements bring positive energy. As someone who likes fun things, I think there’s nothing bad about humor, as long as the actors make the audience feel happy and comfortable.
“I’m not afraid of what others think of me”
Older sister Do you think the advantage of appearance is one of the factors that helped you “catch the eye” of the director?
– Appearance is only a secondary factor, the emotions expressed by the character will be the main factor. I’m beautiful but if I can’t act, the director won’t invite me, because there are so many other beautiful girls working in showbiz.

Is Thuy Ngan worried about being compared to actors of her time who entered cinema very early?
– If I was shy, I wouldn’t have accepted the project this time. Up to now, I am a person who always likes challenges and wants to renew myself. I’m not afraid of what others think of me, I’m only afraid of not doing well the things I like. Everyone’s reviews are lessons for me to contemplate and develop myself every day.
Is Thuy Ngan worried about the revenue of the projects she participates in?
– I think revenue is based on other objective factors that I cannot control. There are many wishes, but the reality needs to be based on “favorable weather, favorable terrain, and harmony between people”.
Thuy Ngan’s name is becoming more and more famous. Does this lead to pressure from public opinion, especially in comments from audiences on social networks every day?
– For me, every aspect in this life has two sides, if there is white then there must be black, if there is yin then there is yang, if there is praise then there must be criticism. I always keep in mind that when the audience praises and criticizes me, it means they still love me, and from that point on, I have to learn how to adjust every day to improve.
I think as an actor, I have to learn to accept those compliments and criticisms to grow more mature every day. I listen and contemplate the opinions of the audience.
