Armiia TV news channel of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also confirmed information about the death of the “Blue Helmet” pilot on January 8.

According to Suspilne, the pilot of the 114th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force died on the evening of January 5. The death of the young pilot was also confirmed by his relatives on social networks.

This is another major loss in the ranks of Ukraine’s fighter pilots in the context of a comprehensive war with Russia that has lasted nearly 2 years and is about to enter its third year.

Zalistovskyi is only 23 years old. He graduated from the flight department of the Ivan Kozhedub National Air Force University in Kharkiv in 2021, and during the war with Russia he performed dozens of combat missions.

Zalistovskyi is famous for his Instagram channel called Blue Helmet, where he posts videos of his flights. His Instagram account has more than 2,200 followers.

Suspilne noted that pilot Zalistovskyi was from Malyn, Zhytomyr province. He is a pilot of a MiG-29 fighter jet. The circumstances leading to the pilot’s death have not been disclosed by Ukraine.
