Hello, mindful declutters. Today I am starting a new series on why it’s so hard to declutter? Let’s dive straight into that question. I get it all the time. Why? Why? Why is it so hard to declutter? You’d think “it’s just stuff!” Right? But decluttering isn’t always that simple. In this new series, I’m exploring why it is so hard to let go.

It’s not just about what you own: it’s about your attachments, what those items represent to you, and the energy that they carry with them.

Since 2005, I’ve helped people understand that it’s these energetic ties that keep you stuck when you hold onto things, whether it’s out of guilt, fear or nostalgia, you’re holding onto their energy too, and that energy can weigh you down.

Decluttering is emotional. It can bring up feelings of overwhelm, guilt, or anxiety. The longer you leave things, the harder it gets to even begin. But here’s the good news. I know you may sometimes feel like you’re the only one who struggles with this. That no one else can understand your suffering, but I do.

Decluttering is a journey of releasing what no longer serves you, both physically and energetically, and it starts with small, mindful steps. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, know this: you have within you the strength to create space, not just in your home, but in your heart and mind too.

I’ll dive deeper into all of this in the upcoming videos in the series, but for now, remember, it’s not about the stuff; it’s about your attachment, your energy, and the stories that you’ve created around these items. And I’m here to guide you with compassion and support. You do not have to do this alone!
