“A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” (an Ernest Hemingway short story) describes the nothingness and emptiness of the universe. Uses the story as an analogy to describe what religion does for the believer. That some religions reject science and create an unreal universe to create the clean, well-lighted place. That Natural Theology accepts the scientific view of the universe and adds one hypothesis: that the universe is a manifestation of a single entity, the Ultimate Ground of Existence, God.
