The website YourFakeNews.com is a parody / interactive website where a user can make their own fake news to spread across the world. The user can choose a photo from four photos provided and then create their own headline and description, and choose a website to post it on. As part of the Javascript class, I’ve decided to create a website that tackles fake news and other terms that are related to it. My goals for this project are: To raise awareness about spotting fake news by making the user create their own. To educate the difference between misinformation and disinformation. To inform users about media literacy, fact-checking websites, and media & personal biases.
