Kamala Harris will have no Democratic challenger, Gov. Chris Christie says
I want to bring back in the former Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie Mr Christie I I want to ask you about just how chaotic all of this could play out in the weeks and the in the days to come especially as now you have the Trump campaign bracing to face off against possibly the vice president you know Rachel interestingly I don't think it's going to be that chaotic at all there are such practical concerns for the people who might be thinking about challenging the vice president none of them have a national campaign organized none of them have even one state director in any one of the 50 states none of them have a national fundraising operation none of them are going to be able to in these 107 days left um really going to be able to use the financial might that they might have had if they had a year leading up to this KLA Harris I think will be able to inherit by the the law the way I see it from the FC I think she'll be able to inherit the money that's in the Biden Harris campaign right now um She's Got an entire campaign structure that her team has been a part of already everyone else is going to have to be looking at this and saying can I really get this nomination from the sitting vice president endorsed by the sitting president um in the span of essentially 20 days and if I do I might be the dog who caught the garbage truck because then with something like 80 some days to go I have to mount a national campaign against Donald Trump Trump so I think most of the people who would be serious candidates I think quite frankly they're going to look at this and say I hope she picks me for number two uh and move on from there there's too many practical problems to this that part are political part are organizational part are Financial so I don't think there's going to be any challenge to Kell Harris I think what we're going to spend most of our time speculating about Rachel is who she's going to pick to be her running mate okay former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie thank you
