collapse of the Residential Building here in Nairobi we've got some more details for you and this is now a statement from the Nairobi City County government uh and this uh talks about a five-story building uh in nairobi's Mountain View ward in Westlands subcount along Nasha Road this is near the international livestock Research Institute that's ILY these are live pictures that we are bringing to you uh from the scene in uru area uh the statement from the Nairobi uh City County Government continues to say that the city County Emergency Response Team was swiftly deployed to the scene and continued to assist in evacuating residents to safety as of 10: p.m. All Families except for four persons have been accounted for the four missing persons include a nanny and two children from one household as well as a 10-year-old girl from another residents the fur of the girl has arrived at the scene and informed the respondents that the girl was Home Alone rescue efforts continue and the Nairobi City County government has mobilized specialized equipment further updates to be provided uh the statement concludes that the cause of the collapse remains unknown with detailed investigations that will commence tomorrow that statement is from Bramwell simu who is the chief officer in charge of disaster management at the Nairobi City County government so that is the latest we have from these live pictures we're showing you from the ground according to the Nairobi County government four persons remain unaccounted for including a nanny two children and a 10-year-old girl from another residence this happening at the Epson apartment building which is a fivestory apartment block that collapsed at 8:30 p.m. this evening uh Nairobi County government rescue teams as well as the Kenya Red Cross teams are on site currently assessing the situation as they plan the search and rescue operation for this for persons as of 10 p.m. remaining unaccounted for with all other residents um having been evacuated to safety so that is the latest we have for you from this building collapse in Udu specifically Epson apartment in Mountain View Ward Westland subcount this is along Nasha Road right near the ilri headquarters there all right uh stay with citizen television we will endeavor to bring you the very latest and more of that as we know it that's where we sign off the explainer on a rather unfortunate note uh this evening thank you for watching our program tonight and always please do stay safe take care of yourselves and each other I'm
