Manufactured by BAE Systems, the Bradley is a tracked armored vehicle capable of transporting up to 10 soldiers and is often equipped with machine guns and anti-tank guided missiles. The Bradley weighs 36 tons and is an armored vehicle capable of transporting troops on the battlefield, providing fire support and performing reconnaissance missions. This type of vehicle has relatively good speed, high maneuverability with a crew of 3 operators, moving at a speed of about 64km/h, with a range of about 480km.
Bradley is equipped with relatively strong firepower including a 25 mm M242 machine gun (900 rounds) and two TOW anti-tank missile launchers (7 missiles). Secondary armament includes a 7.62 mm M240C coaxial machine gun (2,200 rounds).
The Bradley has explosive reactive aluminum alloy armor and steel frontal armor that can protect against various types of ammunition, such as some armor-piercing rounds and anti-tank guns. The vehicle is also equipped with a smoke gun that can create mist for defense.
Although the US military has about 2,400 Bradleys in its fleet, they are in the process of replacing this 40-year-old vehicle.
Up to now, Ukraine has only received a few dozen combat vehicles of this type from the US.
