Overview

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is a Japanese anime television series produced and animated by Sunrise. It serves as a sequel spin-off to the Inuyasha anime television series, which is based on the manga series by Rumiko Takahashi. The story begins in feudal Japan, where half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated during a forest fire. While searching for her sister, Towa enters a mysterious tunnel that transports her to present-day Japan. She is subsequently raised by Sota, the brother of Kagome Higurashi, and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel between the two eras reopens, allowing the sisters to reunite. Towa discovers that Setsuna is working as a demon slayer for Kohaku, though Setsuna has no memory of her older sister. The twins, who are the daughters of the demon Sesshomaru, are eventually joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha.
