Overview

Wind Breaker is a 2024 anime series based on the manga of the same name by Satoru Nii. The story follows Haruka Sakura, a fighter obsessed with challenging only the strongest opponents, who enrolls at Furin High School. This school is known for its delinquent students who, despite poor academic performance, are skilled at defending their town. Haruka aims to rise to the top through combat, but his arrival disrupts the existing order when he encounters a newcomer driven by an intense desire for victory. Produced by CloverWorks, the series premiered in Japan in April 2024. It was developed from a manga series also titled Wind Breaker, created by Satoru Nii. The show features voice performances by Yuma Uchida, Austin Tindle, Shoya Chiba, and Nobunaga Shimazaki, among others. The plot explores themes of strength, rivalry, and the balance of power within a school environment where fighting ability is highly valued.
