In the television series Vikings, created and written by Michael Hirst, the episode titled Death All 'Round follows the continued labors of the Vikings as their efforts eventually bear fruit. Within sight of Paris, the Vikings re-launch their boats. This time, they launch the boats along with some interesting structures that Floki has built. Meanwhile, Aethelwulf and Alfred eventually arrive in Rome. Once they arrive, honors are conferred upon them by Pope Leo. Back in Wessex, however, relations are not so cordial between King Ecbert and the disgruntled King Aelle. The historical drama television series, which is a co-production between Canada and Ireland for the History channel, features a cast including Katheryn Winnick, Gustaf Skarsgård, Alexander Ludwig, and Georgia Hirst. The series tells the adventures and sagas of Ragnar Lothbrok, who is known as the greatest hero of his age.
