Overview
The film "Venom" is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Eddie Brock / Venom. It is the first film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe series. The movie follows the story of an investigative journalist who attempts a comeback after a scandal. This character, Eddie Brock, accidentally becomes the host of a violent, super powerful alien symbiote known as Venom. As a result, he must rely on his newfound powers to protect the world from a shadowy organization looking for a symbiote of their own. The film stars Tom Hardy and was directed by Ruben Fleischer.
