The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic dramatic television series based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The series follows a group of survivors, led by sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes, who awake from a coma to find the world overrun by flesh-eating zombies, referred to as walkers, and fleeing from pursuit.
