It served as a spin-off from the series All That, a program in which lead performer Amanda Bynes had co-starred for several years. The main cast featured Amanda Bynes, Drake Bell, and Nancy Sullivan. Throughout its production, the show included several other performing artists who joined and left the cast at different points, including John Kassir, Raquel Lee, and Josh Peck. The writing team for the series consisted of John Hoberg, Steven Molaro, Andrew Hill Newman, and Dan Schneider.
