Overview

Taxi is an American television sitcom that focuses on the lives of a group of taxi drivers and their dispatcher in New York City. The series was created by James L. Brooks, Stan Daniels, David Davis, and Ed. Weinberger. It originally aired on ABC from September 12, 1978, to May 6, 1982, and later on NBC from September 30, 1982, to June 15, 1983. The cast includes Judd Hirsch, Jeff Conaway, Danny DeVito, and Marilu Henner. The narrative centers on the staff of a taxicab company as they perform their jobs while dreaming of greater things.
