Overview
Ringer is a mystery and drama television series that premiered in 2011. The narrative follows Bridget, a woman who has spent six months working to maintain her sobriety. After witnessing a murder, Bridget becomes concerned for her safety and loses trust in the ability of the FBI to provide protection. In an attempt to escape her dangerous circumstances, she travels to New York to reunite with her wealthy twin sister, Siobhan. The two sisters initially work to repair their fractured relationship. However, the situation changes abruptly when Siobhan goes missing. Bridget decides to assume her sister's identity, but she soon discovers that Siobhan’s life is not as perfect as it appears from the outside. Bridget ultimately realizes that her new life as Siobhan offers no more security than the life she left behind. The series explores the consequences of living a lie and the difficulty of finding reality when one's existence is built upon a deception.
