Overview

Propiedad Ajena is a drama film released on November 16, 2007, with a running time of one hour and thirty-five minutes. The story is set in motion by the discovery of a diary written in 1848 in Texas, which was Mexican territory at the time. This discovery leads Miranda Sámano to travel illegally to Texas in search of her roots and origins, and to unravel the mysteries written in the diary by Amalia Sámano. Miranda has a love affair with Matt in Texas that appears to mirror a past romance between Doña Amalia and Houston army colonel Robert Crossman that took place approximately one hundred and sixty years earlier. This connection is also seen as resembling the historical relationship between Mexico and the United States, suggesting that a tragic outcome might be avoided through exercise of reflection. The cast includes Ludwika Paleta as Miranda Sámano, Humberto Zurita as Coronel Crossman, Plutarco Haza as Lorenzo Sámano, Rib Hillis as Matt Crossman, Farnesio de Bernal as Elzear de Fuentes, and Gabriel Porras as José Inés. Additional cast members listed are Juan Carlos Colombo, Roger Cudney, and Enoc Leaño.
