Overview
The film "Paul" is a science fiction comedy. It features a space-traveling being who has been locked up in a top-secret military base for an unspecified amount of time, advising world leaders about his kind. This being, who is described as a smart-ass, escapes from the base when he feels he has outlived his usefulness and fears being dissected. He manages to escape on the first vehicle that passes by the compound, which happens to be an RV. The RV contains two human passengers who end up rescuing and harboring the alien on the run. The story unfolds as the alien navigates human society with the help of these two individuals. The film is set in Area 51, a real-life United States Air Force facility within the Nevada Test and Training Range.
