Overview
Ordeal by Innocence is a 1984 British mystery film directed by Desmond Davis and based on the 1958 Agatha Christie novel of the same name. The film stars Donald Sutherland, Faye Dunaway, Christopher Plummer, and Sarah Miles. The story follows Dr. Arthur Calgary as he visits the Argyle family to return an address book that had been lost some time ago by Jack Argyle. Upon his arrival, Calgary discovers that Jack has already been executed for the murder of his mother. Possessing information that can prove Jack was innocent, Calgary becomes determined to solve the crime despite facing opposition from a hostile family.
