Mannix is an American television detective series that aired on CBS for eight seasons between 1967 and 1975. The program was created by Richard Levinson and William Link and developed by executive producer Bruce Geller. The title character, Joe Mannix, is a private investigator portrayed by actor Mike Connors. As a private eye, Mannix works to solve an array of baffling and deadly cases in Los Angeles. He is assisted in his investigations by his dedicated secretary, Peggy Fair. The series also features cast members Gail Fisher, Ward Wood, and Ron Nyman. Known for using force to solve crimes, the character of Joe Mannix is depicted as an Armenian-American Korean War veteran. The show holds historical significance as the final series produced by Desilu Productions.
