Inspector Gadget is an animated children's science fiction comedy series that was originally produced and syndicated by DIC Audiovisuel and Lexington Broadcast Services Company. The series was created by Andy Heyward, Jean Chalopin, and Bruno Bianchi. It is about a human cyborg detective with various bionic gadgets built into his body. The main character, Inspector Gadget, is a clumsy and dim-witted detective who works on cases, but his niece and dog do most of the investigating. The series features an evil organization known as M.A.D., led by Dr. Claw, who is Inspector Gadget's arch-nemesis. The series originally aired in syndication and consists of 86 episodes. The show was first syndicated from 1983 and was created in alliance with Lexington Broadcast Services and other companies.
