In this society, time functions as the primary currency used to pay for necessities and luxuries, with each person possessing a digital countdown clock displayed on their forearm. While the wealthy are able to live forever, the poor must struggle to survive. The story follows a young man named Will Salas who suddenly comes into a large fortune of time. After being accused of murder, he finds himself on the run from a corrupt police force known as the Timekeepers. The film features a cast that includes Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Alex Pettyfer, and Olivia Wilde. It was released in the United States on October 28, 2011.
