Overview
Holby City is a British medical drama television series that aired weekly on BBC One. Created by Tony McHale and Mal Young, the program served as a spin-off from the established medical drama Casualty. The series ran from 12 January 1999 until 29 March 2022. On-screen, the title is stylized as HOLBY CI+Y. The show follows the lives of the staff and patients within the wards of the fictional Holby City General Hospital. Much of the narrative focus is placed on the frenetic cardiac unit, where doctors and nurses navigate the highs and lows of their professional and personal experiences.
