Overview

Hidamari Sketch is a television series following the experiences of a student named Yuno. After dreaming of attending Yamabuki Arts High School for years, Yuno gains acceptance to the institution, which requires her to move away from her home and family for the first time. Upon arriving, she settles into the Hidamari Apartments, a residence populated by an eclectic group of individuals. Yuno discovers that many of her new neighbors are fellow art students, helping to ease the transition of living independently. Among these residents are Hiro and Sae, who are second-year students that attempt to act as helpful older sisters to Yuno. Additionally, Yuno interacts with her hyperactive neighbor, classmate, and best friend, Miyako. The series explores the daily lives and bonds formed between these characters as they navigate their shared experience at the arts high school and their time living together at the Sunshine Apartments. The narrative focuses on the personal growth and friendships Yuno develops while living away from her family for the first time.
