Hard Off is a French romantic comedy-drama released in 1999 that was directed by Claude Berri. Although the couple shares a loving and tender relationship, Langmann experiences sexual performance issues. Despite his wife expressing her satisfaction with their marriage, Langmann seeks professional help from a sex specialist. During his consultation, he learns about Viagra. At the time, the medication was not yet approved for use in France, but it was available for purchase over the counter in Switzerland. Motivated by a desire to prove his manhood, Langmann travels to Geneva. Once there, he attempts to pursue an encounter with an attractive woman named Agnes.
