François Berléand is a French actor born in Paris, France, on April 22, 1952. He is the son of a Russian-Armenian father and a French mother, and until the age of eleven, he experienced a traumatic childhood after his father told him he was the son of the Invisible M. In his acting career, he plays Gilles Triquet, the office manager and equivalent of David Brent in Le Bureau, the French version of The Office produced by Canal+. He also appeared in the 2002 film The Transporter as the French commissaire named Tarconi, an active and honest police officer and acquaintance of Frank Martin, played by Jason Statham. He reprised the role in the sequels Transporter 2 and Transporter 3, as well as in the television series.
