Overview

Hannibal is a television series created by Bryan Fuller that explores the early relationship between FBI criminal profiler Will Graham and forensic psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter. The series is based on the novels by Thomas Harris and premiered on NBC on April 4, 2013. Will Graham possesses an extraordinary ability to empathize with serial killers, which serves as both a gift and a curse. When Graham struggles to solve a series of difficult murders, Special Agent Jack Crawford pairs him with Dr. Lecter, a man with a taste for the criminal minded who is destined to become Graham's most cunning enemy. The show features actors Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, Caroline Dhavernas, and Laurence Fishburne. Following its debut, the series ran for three seasons, with the second season premiering on February 28, 2014, and the third on June 4, 2015. NBC canceled the program due to low viewership, and the series finale aired in August 2015. The show is currently available for streaming on various platforms.
