Overview
Hanebado! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kosuke Hamada that was adapted into an anime television series. The story centers on Ayano Hanesaki, a first-year student at Kanagawa Prefectural Kitakomachi High School who possesses an effortless ability for badminton but avoids playing the sport. Her path crosses with Nagisa Aragaki, a third-year student who practices constantly with the goal of becoming the best player in Japan. The badminton team at Kitakomachi High School is coached by Kentarou Tachibana, who seeks to expand the small team to participate in competitions. Encouraged by their coach and supported by club colleagues, Ayano and Nagisa engage with their rivals and the sport of badminton. The series depicts the experiences of these students as they navigate their youth through the high-speed intensity of the game. Originally serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga, the franchise has also seen the release of a novel version. Fans can access the anime series in both subbed and dubbed formats.
