Overview
Gosei Sentai Dairanger is a Japanese tokusatsu television series that serves as the seventeenth production in the long-running Super Sentai franchise. The story centers on the history of the Daos Empire, which originally consisted of three peaceful tribes known as the Shura, the Dai, and the Gorma. Peace ended when the Gorma tribe launched a campaign to conquer the planet, resulting in a magical war between the Gorma and Dai tribes that lasted for centuries. Both civilizations eventually vanished, but the evil Gorma have now returned to threaten the world. To combat this resurgence, a character named Master Kaku is tasked with assembling a team of individuals who possess high levels of Ch'i. These chosen youths become the protectors of the Earth, known as the Dairangers. The series is classified under the genres of science fiction, fantasy, action, and adventure, and it is intended for a younger audience.
