Synopsis
Catelyn has captured Tyrion and plans to bring him to her sister, Lysa Arryn, at The Vale, to be tried for his, supposed, crimes against Bran. Robert plans to have Daenerys killed, but Eddard refuses to be a part of it and quits.

In the fifth episode of the first season of Game of Thrones, titled The Wolf and the Lion, the political tensions within the Seven Kingdoms continue to escalate. Catelyn Stark has successfully captured Tyrion Lannister. Following this arrest, she makes arrangements to transport him to The Vale. Her intention is to deliver him to her sister, Lysa Arryn, so that he may face a trial regarding his alleged crimes committed against Bran Stark.
Meanwhile, in the capital, King Robert Baratheon focuses his efforts on the threat posed by Daenerys Targaryen. He formulates a plan to have her killed. Eddard Stark, serving as the Hand of the King, strongly disagrees with this course of action. Refusing to participate in the assassination plot, Eddard chooses to resign from his position.
