Overview
Fate/stay night is a Japanese dark fantasy anime television series produced by Studio Deen. Directed by Yuji Yamaguchi and supervised by Takashi Yamana, this program serves as the first animated series based on the Type-Moon video game franchise. The narrative focuses primarily on the Fate arc established in the original visual novel. The story follows Shirou Emiya, a young amateur magician who lost his parents in a fire during his youth and was subsequently adopted by the sorcerer Kiritsugu Emiya. Shirou is unknowingly drawn into a tournament fought to the death known as the Holy Grail War. This conflict involves Masters, who are generally accomplished magi, summoning Servants known as Heroic Spirits to battle for the Holy Grail. To protect himself and attempt to obtain the artifact, Shirou summons a female Servant known as Saber. The series is part of a media collective that follows these various events known as Holy Grail Wars.
