Overview
Extreme Ghostbusters is an animated television series that debuted in 1997. The show functions as a follow-up to the blockbuster films, taking place a decade after the original Ghostbusters team successfully defended New York City from various supernatural entities. As the original members have left the city, Egon Spengler remains behind to teach a Paranormal Studies course at a local university. The plot is set in motion when the powerful demon Zuul awakens from hibernation to threaten the public. To combat this new danger, Egon and Janine Melnitz recruit a team of four teenage students from Egon's class. The new recruits include Kylie, a genius who possesses extensive knowledge of the occult, Eduardo, a slacker who harbors a crush on Kylie, and Garrett.
